Make it possible to convert a game to a video and maybe automatically upload it to YouTube

I sendond this! I think the frame dumping method would be great! Regardless of not being able to see the frames in which the game lagged when on netplay. But it might be helpful to me to see the data of the lagged frames of local play because on local play, my Dolphin stutters at extremely random times and can either be anywhere from 20 seconds apart from each like half second to full second stutter or it could be up to 15 mins between each stutter. There’s no way for me to know. This happens on every version of Dolphin that I have and it used to never happen for me a couple years ago. My computer is an absolute beast. With specs far higher than what is recommended for Melee on Dolphin. Especially using Anther’s Ladder builds like Faster Melee 5.9 and Project Slippi r10 and r18. If there were a way to figure out what is causing this stutter for me. That would be great!!! No other emulators do this and no PC Games donit either. So I really can’t figure out what’s wrong. And no I haven’t changed any settings on the Ladder Builds.

Yes, my computer isn’t fast enough to run dolphin and obs at the same time. Also, this would tremendously help my crew and I with set analysis.

This would definitely be a massive help. Have been learning a lot about command line scripting, wonder if I might take a crack at it…

Unfortunately, you would have to have much server power. It isn’t that easy to implement it when looking besides the software part.

this suggestion is cute but i wish i could downvote this. its asking a bit much, i feel like. i would just take it as a compliment if i were fizzi. i dont doubt he could get this done but i cant imagine this would be easy to implement, and i prefer he puts his time into the (probably) more easily implemented stuff, like W/L ratio display for opponents, or seeing how many are online, although i dont suggest these are easy, i dont even know how all of this isnt actually a really long dream im having.

Dear Mr. Mathers. The original post here and most of the comments are all from over a year or more ago. Way before Slippi 2 came out.

The suggestion in terms of Slippi 2 though I agree with you. But yeah. This was a suggestion thread made for Slippi r18. Where we already have the W/L ratio and such. And people have never stopped wanting a video making feature for it.

But yeah! Slippi 2 IS a crazy dream we’re having! I honestly suggest we work towards making a script to never wake up from it! Cause this shit is incredible!

as of writing, the current options seem to be:

• use OBS to record dolphin (hardware requirements can be prohibitive)
• export frames/audio using settings in dolphin (this creates separate audio/video files, and can be slow when using higher resolutions and/or lossless video encoding)
