Balance patch integration#547

I’m tired of getting retreat lazered by 75% of players. It’s bad for viewership, bad for sponsorship, bad for fun and bad for making money overall.

I understand Vanila is what is played on console and on CRT and that the entire community is diehard in the first place… have something like SD remix as an option for people like me, who like random maining for varietie’s sake. I know, that means a second leaderbord, and a second server…

Heck, Slippi could easily contact Microsoft and they would hands down agree to caracter integration for free. Just to hurt nintendo sales. They would probably also invest money into Slippi massively. They have the rights to Conker, Lanky Kong… even King KRule (depending on the contract work for Ultimate that is) that would help the community, and be gangst as all hell.

Obviouslly, an official Slippi memory card hack would come in play the very first day a patch is made. Or else, all hell would break loose.

Eventually, a 120 hz version with the engine still running 60hz would be helllaa dope. But those kinda moves take business talk with big pocket guys.

Also, Microsoft does have a legal team, and they could protect TO’s from Nintendo’s complete nonsense. Something good for the community can easily be worked out.

Also, legaly speaking, Slippi doesn’t own his name… although Nintendo doesn’t sew individualls namesaking themselfes as their caracters, they could. Naming the project “Slippi” is looking for trouble imo.

The caracter “Slippi”s face, from Strarfox, is definitely a stolen logo though.

Also. okok, i am dreaming hard lol. 120 hz implementation is maybe a bigger task than rollback implementation.

Kinda tired of the Ness maining machups with OP caracters though… I just want fun online play that doesn’t cost me a docking console with horrifying joycons.

I shall continue to dream about rollback crystal P+. It’s just sad to see the best netcoding wasted on some unbalanced game.

I suppose perhaps a SD remix discord when i get a rig that runs stuff other than crystal.
